It surprises me that The Who was not as popular as the Rolling Stones in 1964. They obviously had way better talent in there instruments and had way better songs at the time. But they got more popular around 1970.
Just listen to this. It is just terrible... You cant even compare it
I'm really looking forward to the Beatles making the transition of making music about more important things besides women. Rubber Soul is diffidently one of my favorite albums by the Beatles by far. I can't even compare how bad the Rolling stones look compared to the Beatles. The beatles are simply amazing, I love the atmosphere they display on the listener.

I'm really excited for taking this class because it has brought me to listening the great bands of all time. I have never really been into the beatles, Jerry lee lewis, Evlis presley, and Stevie wonder. This class has brought back my passion for great music over the past century. When we got introduced to Bod dylans first album I was shocked to how good he was. I love the realness of his voice and lyrics. Ive never heard any of Bod dylan before hand until this class. Also after we go over an artist in class, I go home and search for there music and listen as i do homework. I cant believe i was missing all of the music talent.
A lot of people may disagree with me but I really don't like the rolling stones. They write some ok songs here and there but nothing really stands out to me. Part of the reason is because the sound of Jaggers voice is like listening to an old man gargling glass shards. Its really annoying. Plus they are not that great at there instruments. Compared to the Beatles, the Rolling Stones are absolute crap in my mind.

I can't wait for the rest of the Beatles albums. When they are all shit faced in the studio jamming out. I would have loved to live in that time to go see them in concerts. Despite all the little girls screaming. I think it would be a very interesting time to live in also.
I don't think that there will ever be a band that made that big of an impact on America than the Beatles. the reason why is because Rock And Roll has not been around for a while when the Beatles first came to america. So it was a big deal, especially for younger people. Most of the live performances show screaming teens going ape shit on over john and ringo. The thing is about them is that they where so likable. They where funny, sexy, and awesome at there instruments. No band  has really done what the Beatles did when they first came to USA. I think it will stay that way because rock and roll is kind of fading away. I know, it's sad and stupid. But you can kind of see that pop and hip hop is making its scene.

I think rock and roll has been around in history more than we know actually. For instance the people in the mid evil times. They banged on drums and sand folk music. That is early rock. Not the rock that we listen to today but rock that was rebellious to them.

I'm not really a big fan of the Beatles older stuff. Mostly because all they write about it girls. But after they find pot, LSD, and other drugs.(thanks to Bod Dylan) That's when I really like to listen to them. Songs like Lucy and the skies with diamonds, and strawberry fields are forever just seems like they are all tripping out in the recording room doing what they love, playing music. And that's why I like the Beatles. My Favorite album is probably Abbey Road because they are all having fun with it, and that's what rock and roll is about.
